Integrated Construction

Introduction

Integration is the combining of parts into a whole. In construction, this means bringing together everyone involved in the delivery of a project so that they work in unison towards a common goal. When problems occur, people come together to find a solution rather than splitting up to look for their contract.

The Strategic Forum for Construction has developed an Integration Toolkit.

This zone contains the story of a 2 year action research project on the integration of supply chains, project teams and the use of e-trading. See 'Putting it into Practice'.

Giving people the skills and knowledge needed to operate effectively in an integrated project team is essential for delivering satisfaction to your client. Details of a newly launched suite of courses designed to do this are contained in the News Section.

We welcome new material for the Integrated Construction section. If you would like to add your experiences to this site, please send an email to helpdesk@constructingexcellence.org.uk.
