Egan Report (Rethinking Construction) Ten Years On

15 minutes to influence the future of the UK Construction industry

2008 is the tenth anniversary of the publication of Rethinking Construction (the "Egan Report"), published by the Construction Task Force chaired by Sir John Egan, and set up by the then Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott in 1997.

This Survey aims to explore what has changed in the UK construction industry since then. Its findings will form part of the basis for a major new industry report which seeks to set out the agenda for the next ten years.

We aim to discover what has been achieved; who has benefited and how; and what are the future key drivers for the next 10 years. In completing this survey you will be taking part in setting out the challenges for our industry, and in driving us towards the more effective provision of a better built environment.

This programme has the backing and involvement of major industry bodies, including the G4C, CIC, CPA, CC and CCG; and of the OGC and DBERR. Its findings are likely to provoke significant change in the UK construction sector.

There will be an opportunity to register at the end of the survey to receive a copy of the report - so you can view how the findings may affect you and your company over the next decade.

Please take the time to complete this important survey.
