- David Beare, G4C Chairman
- Profile:
- David is a Chartered Management Accountant and Economist with major project cost and commercial experience in the aviation sector. He was short-listed Part-Qualified CIMA accountant of the year in 2007 as a consequence of his work in the field of financial and project controls.
Having benefited from his experiences as a Lead Cost and Commercial Manager at T5, he co-authored a research document on best practice solutions within alliancing and partnering projects. In 2009 he joined the Board of G4C to lead their 'industry change' working-group. This year as Chairman of G4C he is keen to collaborate with the wider membership of CE to benefit from lessons learnt, as he challenges his Board to produce the Construction industry roadmap for next generation.

- Edward Blake
- Profile:
- Ed works for Turner & Townsend on the redevelopment of the London Bridge Quarter. After initially being impressed by the quality of events, he joined G4C to share ideas, and to actively lobby for industry change. So far, he has taken responsibilities for developing member resources, and now acts as the Board Secretary. He also enjoys motorsport and rugby, campaigning a 25 year-old Golf GTI through the Alps last year, and taking part in a failed attempt to snatch victory at the annual Surveyor's 7s.

- Matthew Armitage
- Profile:
- Matthew graduated from Loughborough University with a 1st class honours degree and commenced employment with Kier Group in 2008. His first project was a £50m commercial development in the centre of Reading, since then he has worked on various Procure21 schemes.
Matthew first got involved with G4C in the latter months of 2009. The first event he attended was an evening talk on sustainability. From there he decided that this was something he definitely wanted to get involved with, and the calibre of people involved in G4C being second to none. Matthew really believes that he can make a difference in the industry working with the G4C members.

- Helen Blacker

- Helen has worked as a structural engineer for Waterman Structures for the past five years where she has gained valuable experience working on large commercial projects in central London.
Helen is a University College London alumni, and for the past three years has performed the role of resident engineer at UCL's Constructionarium week. Constructionarium is a hands-on construction experience for students and young professionals, which is held as a 6 day working field course at the National Construction College in Norfolk. The participants construct scaled down versions of bridges, buildings, dams and civil engineering projects.
Helen realises the importance of attracting young people into the construction industry and is a registered Ambassador for The Science and Engineering Council. Helen has been involved with G4C since December 2009, within the People work stream. Helen is also on the L4TF board.

- Chris Davies
- Profile:
- Chris is a chartered civil engineer and university of Leeds alumni with a keen interest in multidisciplinary design. As a practicing consulting structural engineer he designs buildings and advises how best to use materials to achieve project goals.
Chris' experience so far has predominately been in education and cultural sectors (Academies, Building Schools for the Future, International Gardens KSA, London Festival of Architecture). He is passionate about collaborative working and fulfilling the opportunities of 2.0 technology.
Chris has been part of G4C & CE for 5 years and strongly believes in the collaboration as the means to success. Chris also believes the built environment is the industry that will solve tomorrows challenges.

- Jason Gabb
- Profile:
- Jason currently runs his own project consulting and management company, GABB Project Consulting, specialising in the delivery of private residential projects with much reduced stress to the clients and the contractors.
Previous experience has seen Jason working on site as a project manager and contract manager as well as consulting with one of the UKs foremost research establishments, BRE. More recently Jason worked in business development with the UK Green Building Council.
Having joined the G4C membership through BREs close relationship with Constructing Excellence Jason was asked to sit on the board in late 2009. Having a very keen interest in the future of an industry that has historically been slow to respond to innovation, Jason sees in G4C the opportunity to guide the industry towards a more healthy and innovative future.

- Profile:
- Chi is an associate solicitor at Stevens & Bolton LLP specialising in construction. Chi's non-contentious experience includes drafting and negotiating bespoke and standard form construction contracts, professional appointments and collateral warranties . Contentious experience includes adjudication, alternative dispute resolution and litigation in the Technology and Construction Court.
Chi believes that the promotion of collaboration and best practice amongst newcomers to the industry can make a positive difference to the way in which the industry will develop for the next generation.

- Will passionately feels that G4C has the power to shape the future of the industry from client relationships and procurement through to sustainable delivery of real assets and that this essential for the industry to improve and progress.
The construction industry, especially it's young leaders, has an amazing task to deliver over the next 50 years in making this country and the world an increasingly sustainable environment. G4C are at the forefront of this task and hopefully will be able to look back in 50 years and confidently say "we made a difference".

- Andrew Fettes-Brown
- Profile:
- Andrew is a Cost Consultant at Sense Cost Consultancy part of the Mace Group. Having completed his second MSc, this time in Construction Cost Management at Reading University, he gained an excellent level of experience in both a pre and post contract capacity in the public and private sectors. He has particular experience in large residential projects, commercial office new builds, fit outs and data centres.
Andrew has been involved with G4C over the past 2 years and believes that true to its name, G4C will herald a new era of collaboration as a mechanism to deliver high-quality projects with ever decreasing budgets. He believes that the industry needs to focus on the benefits of collaborative working and develop a process whereby a number of wasteful layers in the process of creating a build facility are removed. G4C is most certainly not "business as usual".

- Andrew Beadle
- Profile:
- Andrew started his working career in the public sector working for Big Lottery Fund, managing a caseload of lottery grants funding community projects all around the UK. He also worked for Coventry City Council as a Programme Manager and coordinated a Government funded urban regeneration programme.
Andrew believes that G4C plays an important role with the many challenges ahead for the construction industry, not least the low carbon agenda. He believes tha G4C's focus on sustainability, asset outcomes and people helps to ensure that all members can continually keep abreast of where the industry is moving, and how they can influence this and keep skills sharp and relevant.

- Fred Mills
- Profile:
- Fred is a Pre-Construction Project Manager at Willmott Dixon Construction with experience across a number of sectors including healthcare, education and leisure. Having graduated with a First honours class degree in Architectural Engineering and Design Management from Loughborough University in 2008, Fred joined Willmott Dixon and went on to be named their Regional Trainee of the Year in 2009. His studies on the role of Design Managers in delivering sustainable buildings were published internationally.
Fred joined the G4C Board in March 2010 and is CEO of Leaders 4 The Future; a flagship initiative that's promoting the provision of undergraduate experience.

- Profile:
- Dan is a senior associate in Reynold Porter Chamberlain's Construction, Property and Casualty group. He specialises in both contentious and non-contentious construction law and has wide experience in drafting and negotiating standard form and bespoke contracts, advising all sectors of the industry including contractors, sub--ontractors, developers, end-users, funders and consultants on commercial, residential and mixed-use developments. Dan regularly delivers seminars and writes articles for clients and the industry press on a wide range of issues ranging from contractual provisions to sustainability and collaboration. Dan is also a member of the UK Contractor's Group.

- Maq is a Partner in law firm Trowers & Hamlins' Projects & Construction department. He advises commercial clients and local government bodies on construction projects and negotiates and drafts building and engineering contracts and professional appointments. He has a particular focus on embedding multi-party contractual processes for lean, efficient and collaborative working.

- Sarah Hepinstall
- Profile:
- Sarah is a Project Manager with Faithful+Gould with five years experience of delivering projects for public and private sector clients. She joined G4C in August 2010 within the Industry Change stream. Sarah is involved in the Leaders 4 The Future initiative as Accreditation Director. Before joining G4C, Sarah was on the fund raising committee for Cancer Research UK Relay for Life.

- Chris Morgan

- Graduating from the University of Birmingham with a 2:1 honours degree in Geology and Geography Chris moved to the North West of Cumbria to work for Sellafield Ltd. As part of the management trainee scheme he held a number of positions including Sales Contract Manager and Procurement Specialist. He finally worked as a Senior Contracts Specialist in Capital Acquisitions placing major acquisition contracts for the largest, most complex and innovative nuclear programme in the UK.
Chris was promoted to Programme Manager for the Managing Director before moving to BAA Heathrow Airport London as a senior manager and Contracting Officer accountable for the negotiation, execution and post contract management of all major baggage capital and system acquisitions for Heathrow Airport. As a senior manager and contracting authority at one of the largest Client organisations in the UK he is able to bring to G4C a level of client engagement with the industry and the next generation which will significantly enhance the industries understanding and appreciation for the role of the Client in the coming years.

- Profile:
- Ben has been part of Magnox since graduating from the University of York in 2007 with a BSc in Economics. As part of the commercial function he has been involved in a variety of projects predominantly aimed at Business Improvement and implementing the principles of the Egan & Latham reports within the company aiming for Magnox to be seen as a client of choice across the industry. This work led Magnox to be recognised as the client of the year in the Constructing Excellence Wales Awards 2009.
Ben has since concentrated his efforts on procurement, and currently is establishing a long term sustainable method to discharge Deplanting & Demolition works across the company.
