Construction Clients' Group
Working Groups
The Construction Client Group currently have two active working groups running. These are:
- The Health and Safety Task Group
- Asset and favilities Management
The Health and Safety Task Group
The main objective of this group is to:
- Represent clients and work with key bodies and stakeholders to improve the health and safety performance in the construction industry
- Identify and share the business case for clients for investing in the management of Health and Safety in their projects
- Helping clients achieve good health and safety performance on projects
- Support clients of all sizes and levels of understanding in the discharge of their general duties and specifically under the Construction Design and Management Regulations 2007 (CDM 2007)
- Influence legislation relating to Health and Safety as it affects clients who procure construction work
- Provide value through its activities to member companies and to potential members; seek funding when appropriate.
Asset and Facilities Management
Increase the awareness of clients and industry of the value cradle to grave asset management by:
- The implications of procurement decisions on the ability to deliver needs
- The impact of FM on their business
- The opportunity of earlier involvement of FM
- The significance of capital expenditure and operational expenditure convergence
- Showcasing good practice case studies
- Capturing information
