What you have to do if you want construction work done This guidance is for all companies and organisations that carry out or are likely to carry out construction work as part of their business. It has been written by the construction industry to help you comply with the law.

This Information Sheet is for all companies and organisations that carry out or are likely to carry out construction work as part of their business. It provides a business case for addressing health and safety, key issues they should address and answers to common questions. It also gives a directory of sources of further guidance and information.
An information sheet has been produced to help clients understand what is meant by the arrangements requirements in Regulation 9 of CDM package. The sheet further aims to offer guidance to Clients to enable them to fulfil this responsibility.
An information sheet that describes some of the behaviours that competent clients should be practicing. This accepts that most competent clients will be repeat clients, or clients who want to do the right thing.

CCG has also set out what it believes clients can do to help assist with these indicators. It is envisaged that clients will be able to use these or a variation of these at a project level.

By doing so you will bring the benefits of a smooth-running project and you will also meet the requirements of CDM 2007.These regulations set out a number of actions that clients must do so that they play their part with designers, contractors and product suppliers in securing the well being of the site workers.
