Diggle is new CCG Chair
We are delighted to announce that Simon Diggle of the Highways Agency has taken over the chairmanship of the Construction Clients' Group (CCG). Having served as Deputy Chair for the last term, Simon was duly elected as Chair at the last meeting of the CCG Board.

Peter Woolliscroft Takes Over the Reigns as Strategic Forum Chairman
Peter Woolliscroft has been confirmed as the new chairman of the Strategic Forum for Construction (SFfC). His chairmanship will run from 30th June 2010 to 1 July 2011.

Construction safety laws failing, industry urges rethink
A report issued today by industry groups has highlighted severe flaws in legislation intended to safeguard the lives and livelihoods of those working in construction. Tighter rules about site safety were introduced in 1997 to protect the 2.2 million people who work in the UK's biggest industry sector. But the changes have simply upped the costs associated with construction projects without significantly improving safety standards.
