The New Working Group
Objectives
In line with the merger process with Constructing Excellence, The Education Working Group has been reformed and now has a number of existing Be members, new recruits from Be and representatives from CE and CITB ConstructionSkills.
Description
The Group has identified their new priorities as follows:-
- 1. A voice for industry and clients We wish to be the voice of industry and clients on the subject of education and development and to be the first point of contact on these issues for HR directors from all disciplines and sectors within Constructing Excellence
- 2. Information and influence We would like to be in a position to inform and where possible influence the providers of education and development for the industry ? we will do this in partnership with and via other agencies including CITB(CS), CIC, ACBEE, CEBE and other professional institutions/representative bodies.
- 3. Leadership and Management Our aim is to improve Leadership and Management in the industry by increasing its coverage in professional courses and in corporate development programmes - as we believe that this is a major route to industry change.
- 4. Encourage and Inform Whilst encouraging the provision of leadership and management courses and programmes, we will not be a provider of courses ourselves; but prefer to remain an independent source of information and influence.
