Project Objectives
To produce guidance on how to extend collaborative working and supply chain integration from the design and construction process through to the management, operation and improvement of facilities for the benefit of the client and end user.
Project Description
Working closely with CFM (Centre for Facilities Management, Salford University) and a number of other FM centres of excellence, the Working Group is well advanced with the production of a Guide to FM. The purpose of this guide is to provide information about the emerging importance of Facilities Management in the entire design, construction and management process. This is designed to give guidance at all levels from the one off client to experienced industry professionals seeking specific information. The guide will provide valuable original views and information from our contributors and just as importantly will signpost existing work in the field.
We plan that the Guide will be available by November 2003.
