Project Objectives
This is an action learning group of Be members keeping themsleves up-to-speed with the latest developments in collaborative working and able and willing to provide mentoring support to other members.
Project Description
Meeting quarterly the group's purpose is to:

Close the gap between board-level policy and practical action (i.e. "walking the talk")

Provide a forum for working-level 'share and learn' (or 'collaborate to compete') activities, by sharing presentations on companies' latest experiences, good and bad, for mutual learning at corporate and individual (CPD) levels

Enable members to carry a level of endorsement with third parties as "Be champions"

Provide a resource (speakers) for Be members and third parties on collaborative working

Develop a simple 'code of conduct' for Be members working collaboratively

Further develop and disseminate the business case for collaborative working

Produce a check list of common issues raised by firms considering collaborative working - say 6 key diagnostic questions

Produce a 'pack' to help with the championing role, to include the above checklist, eg standard slides, glossy business case report ('Be inspired' from the other perspective)

Develop a 'charter' summarising the requirements of a 'collaborative working champion' - what, how and who

Training for collaborative working champions - 'train the trainers'

'Free' coaching and mentoring support - say 20 half-days free of charge initially provided by Kevin Thomas on behalf of CWC, to differentiate from eg learning club or CWC mainstream training activity

Quarterly 'share and learn' meetings in July, Oct, Jan and April

Start to create 'action learning sets' of say 3 champions in a team

Feedback mechanisms linked to Be website including a bulletin board overseen by CWC
