To deepen understanding of current and possible future development in the advanced application of information and communication technologies (ICT) to, and their strategic implications for, the construction sector, specifically: -

• ASPs
• E-commerce exchanges
• Project extranets
• Document management
• Object modelling
• Co-location

To examine the inter-relatedness between these technological developments and other key drivers - essentially supply chain integration (process) and whole life asset optimisation (product);

To identify existing sources of help in "crossing the bridge" and where there are areas of unmet need; and

To identify where RCF can take initiatives, in order to advance the overall effectiveness of UK construction and its clients
