"Annual Members' Convention"

For the 3rd year running, Constructing Excellence hosted the Annual Members' Convention at the picturesque venue of Guoman Tower in London.

After an introduction by Bob White, Chairman of Constructing Excellence, Don Ward gave an overview of the Constructing Excellence Forums and we then had a briefing about the work of each forum:

Building & Estates, G4C, NCCTP - Don Ward, Chief Executive Constructing Excellence
Construction Clients Group - Peter Woolliscroft, Office of Government and Commerce
Infrastructure Forum - Ian Reeves CBC, Chairman, London Greenways Ltd
Housing Forum - Barry Munday, Deputy Chairman of The Housing Forum
Local Govenment Task Force - Steve Vickers, Urban Design Birmingham City Council

This was followed by questions to the panel.

The Constructing Excellence Themed Workshops were introduced by Wayne Hemingway of Hemingway Design for the Housing Workshop , by Barry Sheerman MP for the Skill Workshop and by Jeremy Sumeray, BERR for the Water Workshop. The workshops were facilitated by Shelagh Grant and Krystyna Blackburn of the Housing Forum and Sue Innes, Sustainability Director, Constructing Excellence.

Following an excellent lunch we had a Constructing Excellence Fayre where representatives from the Constructing Excellence Forums were available to provide information and answer questions.

Feedback from the workshops was followed by a presentation by Andrew Carpenter, Business Development Director of Constructing Excellence with a panel debate featuring:
