How Will the Carbon Reduction Commitment Affect Your Business?
The Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC) is a mandatory emissions trading scheme intended to reduce UK carbon emissions by 4.2million tonnes by 2020. Any public of private sector organisation that uses over 6,000 MWh of electricity per year (this equates to annual fuel bill of approximately £500,000 based on 2007 energy prices) will be required to participate in the scheme.

BERR publishes response to Select Committee report
Constructing Excellence welcome the publication by BERR of its response to the Select Committee report Construction Matters. It is available here. The commitment to implementing the new post of Chief construction Officer is welcome, the rather more vague comments about integration and collaborative working are less so.
