Construction Legacy - Housing: A partnership between The Housing Forum and ConstructionSkills

This report takes forward Phase 2 of Construction Legacy - Housing (previously known as Sustainable Training for Sustainable Communities) Demonstration Projects, an ongoing partnership between ConstructionSkills and The Housing Forum.

In 2003 the partnership between The Housing Forum and ConstructionSkills (then CITB) came together to promote leading training Demonstration projects which build good construction training to fill skills gaps and make an investment in the local communities they serve.

From the original 16 Demonstration projects researched in Phase 1 of this programme (published May 2006), Phase 2 of this programme has added a further 8 schemes to make a total of 24 projects now on board. These include some multi-project Demonstrations operating under a single umbrella, as well as a broadened portfolio of social housing contracts including new build and large regeneration schemes.
