CDS Housing Partnering Team

CDS Housing seeks to create a unique partnership representing suitable and experienced contractor partners to enter into a multi party 5-year strategic partnering arrangement, covering 5000 units of housing. Delivering the following services:
  • Reactive Maintenance (incorporating Voids) - 4 contractor partners
  • Property Investment (Decent Homes, Component replacement, Cyclical maint) - 1 contractor partner
  • Annual Gas Servicing and maintenance - 1 contractor partner
The integrated partnering team, following formal selection have been working together since September 2002, to develop all aspects of service and product delivery across each of the areas detailed above. Customer representatives have been involved throughout the selection process and are also represented on the partnering team. The integrated team have now established a multi party partnering agreement and charter. All are committed to delivering high quality services that are relevant to the needs of their customers and to promote best value. In doing so they have sought to create a mutually beneficial partnership that involves the Contractor Partners, CDS Housing (as client) and users in achieving predefined measured performance from inception through to completion, with each party signed up to the partnering process. Whilst promoting continual improvements in the services provided and ensuring that lines of communication and responsibility are clearly defined, reducing disputes and eliminating potentially confrontational situations. The integrated team are mindful of the need to continually foster and maintain good working relationships between CDS, Contractor Partners, Customers and others concerned with the works, through open, honest and regular communications based on mutual trust and respect. The partnership have also established key commitments and undertakings to ensure a co-ordinated, transparent and proactive approach to; shared problem solving, continuous improvement, health and safety, supply chain management and financial planning is promoted.
