The Retail Construction Benchmarking Forum was established to facilitate information on best practice between major retail companies with significant construction programmes. Current membership comprises 11 companies from the general retail, financial services and supermarket sectors. The members are:

The Forum meets quarterly and has a results driven agenda. As well as exchanging information on current best practice and emerging issues, the Forum members collect project data every 6 months that is analysed and reported on by a neutral facilitator. In order to ensure data is comparable, clear definitions have been established. Benefits resulting from the benchmarking forum have included cost benchmarking, exchange of information on innovative practices and networking.
