MANAGEMENT TRAINING FROM CONSTRUCTING EXCELLENCE

IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management for the Construction Industry

During this modular 5-day course you will:

appreciate the need for effective Environmental Management,
discuss the challenges involved in making construction more 'Sustainable',
examine the main UK Environmental legislation applicable to construction and the role of the Regulatory Agencies,
explore the techniques use to measure and evaluate Environmental Performance,
study the role, structure and implementation of Environmental Management Systems.

Many organisations now encourage staff to take the IEMA Foundation Course to:

help support legal and regulatory compliance,
identify bottom line benefits through resource efficiency and reduced waste disposal costs,
demonstrate corporate environmental commitment to clients and other stakeholders,
meet the ISO 14001:2004 Environmental Management Standard.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Those within construction organisations having managerial responsibility for business improvement: directors, departmental heads, managers, line managers, team leaders, project managers.

OUTLINE OF THE IEMA FOUNDATION CERTIFICATE COURSE

The Foundation Certificate is certified by the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) and presented by ISYS International. It provides delegates with an introduction to the key concepts associated with the environment and its relationship with business and construction.

This modular 5-day course provides a recognised qualification and Affiliate Membership of IEMA

The programme includes discussion of key environmental management issues, full course notes, practical group work sessions and an IEMA certified examination.

This course provides a recognised qualification in the key concepts of effective environmental management.

COST OF THE COURSE

£795 + VAT. Price includes one year's IEMA Affiliate Membership fee. Excludes accommodation. Delivered as 2 day/ 2 day/ 1 day modules over 3 weeks. Tutorial sessions start at 09.00 and finish at 16.30.
