The basis of the BS is the Constructing Excellence Avanti Standard Method and Procedure (SMP) that outlines the management methodology for data in a Common Data Environment (CDE).

The Avanti procedures are currently being implemented or partially implemented to satisfy projects processes for:
a. CLRL Crossrail project.
b. Westfield Shopping Towns.
c. AWE - Aldermarston.
In addition the CDE environment is currently being developed by Bentley for Projectwise and the Business Collaborator (BC)extranet solutions. Constructing Excellence in conjunction with Construction Project Information Committee (CPIC) are presenting the BS1192:2007 and the expansion of the Uniclass classification methods at the Autodesk AUGIUK at the RIBA in London on the 17th March.
CEAvanti are also making available a series of spring presentations outlining the Avanti methodology and the BS1192:2007. Details of the forthcoming events will be available shortly from the website.
