East Midlands Centre for constructing the built environment conference notes

East Midlands Centre for constructing the built environment conference took place on 6th March 2006. The aim of the conference was to bring together the Construction Industry, clients and suppliers who predominantly work for Local Authorities.

To provide information on the Local Authority agenda and the developments both Nationally and Regionally and how the Agenda is shaping the construction industry today.

Constructing Excellence aims to achieve a step change in construction productivity by tackling the market failures in the sector and selling the business case for continuous improvement. Constructing Excellence through this event is brought key organisations together that are currently influencing the Local Authority construction agenda. Key speakers covered the drivers for change of the national and regional Local Authority construction agenda. Examples of best practice and how the agenda is being applied and the benefits from the application were illustrated.
