Constructing Excellence, is pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Carpenter as Business Development Director. Carpenter joins the Constructing Excellence senior management team after seven years as a leading industry participant and will report to Chief Operating Officer, Don Ward. Carpenter's appointment reflects the importance attached to Constructing Excellence's strategy for membership growth.

As an accomplished commercial director, Carpenter started work with Constructing Excellence seven years ago on a voluntary basis. He began and developed the Bristol Club in 1999. He was subsequently invited by Denis Lenard to join the board in 2003 where he held the role of National Chair of Clubs Working Group.
Prior to this, Andrew held commercial and project director positions at Forticrete limited, part of the Ibstock Group (CRH), the second largest building materials company in the world with an annual turnover of £8billion. He began at Forticrete in 1988, leaving the company 28 years later as the Commercial Director for their offsite business.
"Appointing a strong Business Development Director with a proven track record, who already knows Constructing Excellence well, is a big step forward in the restructuring of Constructing Excellence," said Don Ward, Chief Operating Officer, Constructing Excellence. "He has an important contribution to make in demonstrating the value we provide to new and existing members of Constructing Excellence."
