2008 was the tenth anniversary of the publication of "Rethinking Construction" (the "Egan Report"). A number of "Egan" reform initiatives were established as a result of the report which are now together in one entity, Constructing Excellence.
Constructing Excellence felt that it would be timely to conduct a major review of the achievements of the last ten years to inform the ongoing improvement agenda for the built environment sector. The aim of the review is to produce a definitive statement of the future industry improvement agenda for leading edge organisations.
The review was led a small, high level group of senior industry figures chaired by Andrew Wolstenholme. The members of the group are listed on the Core Review Group and Meetings page.
The outcome of the review was the report Never Waste a Good Crisis published by Constructing Excellence in October 2009. Never Waste a Good Crisis can be downloaded here.
Details of the meetings and relevant papers during the life of the Task Group can be found on the Core Review Group and Meetings page.
Downloads of relevant reports and inputs to the work of the Group can be found on the Background Reading page.
