"Constructing Excellence" refers to any person or organisation, whether or not commercial, involved in any part of the design, development, management, response-handling, marketing, promotion or other similar aspects of this Website;
"User" refers to any person viewing or interacting with this Website, including "you";
"Content" refers to any text, photograph or other image presented on this Website to Users by Constructing Excellence.
The following Terms and Conditions govern your use of this Website (the www.constructingexcellence.org.uk domain) and your relationship with Constructing Excellence ("we/us"). By using the www.constructingexcellence.org.uk site you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms of use, disconnect from this site and do not use this site further. The cost of delivery to a single address in the UK is included for packs and wallcharts. For overseas delivery there is an additional charge for delivery depending on whether the delivery address is in Europe or the rest of the World.
Some areas of the Website are only available to users who have paid membership fees for the relevant service, for example, the Housing Forum and Constructing Excellence clubs. You will be required to register with the website to access these areas. If your membership of these services ends then you will no longer be able to access the relevant areas of the Website.
Other areas of the Website do not require membership but are only accessible on payment of a fee, for example KPIZone. If you wish to access these areas you will be required to register with the website and to pay the subscription fee via our on-line shop.
If you do not pay the relevant subscription fee you may still be required to register with us to use some of the other services offered.
Any subscription fee is payable immediately on the date of registration (which we will notify you of by e-mail) and shall, at our discretion, be non-refundable. You hereby represent that you are the owner, holder and authorised user of the credit or debit card specified by you on the Website registration form and you agree that we are authorised to take payments from you account as agreed by you through the subscription process.
We reserve the right to change the subscription fee and billing methods at any time. We will, notify you of any changes when your subscription is due for renewal. We reserve the right to terminate your subscription immediately without further notice if you do not accept any such changes.
If you wish to cancel your subscription, you must notify us in writing of your intention to cancel within seven working days after our acceptance of your registration. Upon receipt of your notification, we will refund the subscription and terminate your account with us. This will not affect your registration with other areas of the website.
One user per subscription. The subscription will be in the name of the account making the purchase.
You agree to provide, true, accurate and complete information about yourself in relation to your registration with the Website and any subscriptions you purchase, and to maintain and promptly update your registration data to keep it true, accurate and complete.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password and ID, and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your password or ID.
You agree to inform us of any apparent breaches of security such as loss, theft or unauthorised disclosure or use of your ID or password and until we are so notified you will remain liable for any unauthorised use of your account.
Items returned because they are damaged, defective or incorrect.
If you are returning items because they are damaged or defective or an error on our part, we will refund the delivery charges incurred by you in returning the items to us as well as the cost of the items themselves. Please contact us for a Returns Authorisation Code before sending the items back to us and clearly mark your package with this.
Under the Distance Selling Regulations you can cancel your order for any item or service purchased from this website and receive a refund as long as you tell us within a seven day cooling-off period. Refunds will be made by cheque within 30 days of receiving the returned items or of you telling us that you want to cancel your subscription. Goods should be returned to Constructing Excellence. Cancelling an order for packs or wallcharts: you must e-mail, fax or write to us within seven working days following the day after delivery quoting your order number and telling us that you want to cancel. We will provide you with a Returns Authorisation Code, which should be clearly displayed on your package.
If you don't tell us within seven working days of the day after delivery we do not have to accept a return of unwanted goods unless they are faulty. This does not affect your statutory rights. You must return goods to us in good condition complete with all relevant packaging and at your own cost.
Cancelling an order for a subscription: you must e-mail us or write to use within seven days following the day the order was made quoting your order number and telling us that you want to cancel. We will then deactivate your subscription and refund the subscription fee by cheque within 3 days.
Payment: Payment of the full delegate fees should be made at the time of registration. If payment is not made at this time, an invoice will be issued and must be paid immediately and in any case prior to the day of the event. If payment is not received before the event date, delegates will be asked to guarantee payment via credit card on the day.
Cancellation: Delegates may cancel their registration and receive the return of the registration fees paid less 50% thereof providing they notify Constructing Excellence in writing at least two weeks prior to the event. Unfortunately cancellations after this time frame will be charged the full registration and the full invoice total will be payable.
Substitutions: Substitution of delegates are welcome at any time prior to the event day, provided it is in writing to Constructing Excellence. Two or more delegates may not 'share' a place at the event.
It may be necessary, for any reason beyond the control of Constructing Excellence, to amend the programme, date, timing, content, speakers and venue. Constructing Excellence reserves the right to cancel the conference or any part of it reasonably beyond its control. In the unfortunate cirumstances the event is cancelled, no liability is assumed by Constructing Excellence for any costs incurred by delegates in connection with their attendance.
