23 October 2007
The Constructing Excellence National Club Day is run annually at different locations across the UK to demonstrate the work of the club network and also to share best practice between clubs, regions and nationally.
This years event is being sponsored by the Working Well Together Campaign (WWT).
The day is planned with the help of the National Club Steering Group which is made up of regional club representatives from all of the English regions and also Wales.
This years National Club Day will be held at the Holland House Hotel in Cardiff on 23rd October 2007. The title for this years club day is "Demonstrably better ?".
Our key note speaker is Roger Flanagan, who as well as being a Professor at Reading University is also the Immediate Past President of CIOB and is a Director on the main board of Skanska.
The aim of the day is to show that working to the Egan and Latham principles has made a difference in the industry both locally and nationally. Representatives from National, Regional and the Clubs will give presentations on how the clubs have affected them and what they have been up too and there will also be some interesting talks from some of the forums in CE and also from WWT.
The day will end with a presentation from the team at the Porth Relief Road, which as well as winning the Judges Special Award at the Constructing Excellence in Wales Awards in June, were also the overall winners of the Constructing Exellence National Awards on 11th October 2007.
Attendance is FREE and is open to all but you MUST register in advance to enable us to organise catering etc
