Ian first got involved with Constructing Excellence in late 2009, offering support to the Constructing Excellence Nuclear Task Group while in post as MP for Eccles. Ian decided not to stand for re-election following the boundary re-organisation having served for 13 years. He has subsequently joined the Constructing Excellence team to act as a Parliamentary Advisor.
