M4I Environmental Performance Indicators (EPIs)

Rethinking Construction's project-based Environmental Performance Indicators (EPIs) and supporting EPI toolkit provides benchmarks against which designers and users of buildings can compare their performance and set targets. The one for water measures the amount of mains water used ( m3 per person per year) in the operation of the completed building.

The self assessment tool can be downloaded directly from this site as an Excel97 Spreadsheet. The spreadsheet includes a basic introduction to sustainability, information on how to complete the Index questionnaire, and the Index questionnaire, with built-in helps and additional information.
